Want to chat with other attendees at Drupal Daze, but don't want to interrupt the presentations? We have set IRC channels for each track. IRC (Internet Relay Chat) has been around since the dinosaurs (of the internet), but still remains to be a lesser known internet technology. This is the perfect way for everyone to communicate while presentations are going. This would be a great place to share links and other .

IRC Client

There are many IRC clients out there for different platforms. Here are some suggestions:

• ChatZilla is a Firefox extension and is not platform specific.
• Colloquy is a free IRC client for the Mac OS platform.
• HydraIRC is a free, open-source IRC client for the Windows platform.
• XChat is an free, open-source IRC client for Linux and Windows platforms.

Channels

There are three (3) channels, one for each track. All tracks are on the /server irc.freenode.net server. You can join them all. Also see IRC Basics for some basic help.
